Building Great Spaces, Running Civic Organizations, and Influencing Government – Colin Day
Today, I’m super excited to have Colin Day on the Podcast.
Colin is a Project Manager for the Institute for the Built Environment. As a PM, Colin’s focus is on civic resilience as well as district and city scale sustainability solutions. He is a graduate of the Master’s in Landscape Architecture program at Colorado State University, with a focus on redesigning environmentally compromised landscape for educational and community uses.
In this conversation we discuss urban development, how entrepreneurs can help in urban development, how to influence government and civic entities, how to grow and market a community advocacy organization, and we also take a brief foray into the challenges surrounding affordable housing.
If you’ve ever wondered how designers think about the urban environment and how you (as an entrepreneur or marketer) might play a part, this podcast is for you.
Without further ado, here’s my interview with Colin Day.
This is Tyler, and you are listening to the Analytive Podcast.

About Analytive
You’ve likely worked with marketing agencies in the past. And if your experience is anything like mine, you worked with marketing teams that gave you a cookie cutter approach to marketing. They counted minutes, gave detailed reports and presentations, and otherwise did the “ad agency” thing. But at the end of the day, were you getting fresh sales leads?
That’s what good marketing should do for business. And that’s how we want to help you.
